Our Context & Learning
Across the communities GPK serves, childhood vulnerability is shaped by structural poverty, food insecurity and limited access to essential services. Malnutrition is both a consequence of poverty and a driver of poor educational, health and developmental outcomes for children.
GPK’s work is informed by the understanding that children cannot learn, heal or thrive while hungry. As a result, we adopt a nutrition-sensitive approach across all programmes, ensuring that interventions in education, health and family support are responsive to the realities of food insecurity.
This integrated approach positions GPK to contribute meaningfully to broader regional and multi-sectoral efforts aimed at improving child wellbeing, resilience and long-term development outcomes.
